Helpful Tips

Follow the 1-2-3 Method - You may notice for every cold foam recipe above, each one contains ONE tablespoon of syrup or sweetener/flavoring, TWO tablespoons of 2% milk, and THREE tablespoons of heavy cream. This method is my tried and true recipe for perfect at home cold foam. Switch up the cold foam flavor by using different Torani syrups and sauces!

Dairy Free Cold Foam - for a dairy free version of your favorite cold foams, here are a couple options:

  • 1 tablespoon of your preferred syrup + 4 tablespoons of oat milk or coconut milk

  • 1 tablespoon of your preferred syrup + 2 tablespoons, dairy free milk (almond, oat, cashew, etc) + 3 tablespoons dairy free heavy cream

The Milk Frother Matters - The ONLY handheld milk frother I recommend for Starbucks-quality cold foam at home, is the Bonsenkitchen Hanheld Milk Frother. It is around $7 on Amazon, and it is the absolute best one you will find. I do not recommend using a Nespresso Aerrocino for at home cold foam, as it will not give you the cold foam texture.

Taller Cup, Not Wider - When making cold foam, add your ingredients to a narrow and tall cup rather than a short and wide cup. I am not sure what the science is behind this, but trust me, it makes a big difference!

Stok Cold Brew - My favorite cold brew brand is Stok. You can find their cold brew options at most grocery stores. I love their unsweetened cold brew options, but feel free to use whatever store bought or homemade cold brew option you enjoy most!

There you have it! Seven Starbucks copycat cold brew recipes to elevate your coffee experience. Whether you're craving pumpkin spice or indulgent chocolate, these recipes have got you covered. Enjoy crafting, sipping, and sharing these delightful concoctions with loved ones. Happy cold brewin!
